SERVICES ATTENDANCE **UPDATED (03/25/21)**

If you have any symptoms such as fever, cold, cough, difficulty breathing, or sneezing; have come in contact with someone who tested positive; or have a pending COVID-19 test result, please do not attend the services. You must quarantine and follow the medical protocols.

By the grace of God and in accordance with the governor's executive order while consulting with the team of primary care physicians in our parish, St. Mary & St. George Coptic Orthodox Church will no longer require registration for the attendance of services effective today (25 March 2021). 

** As directed by our Diocese, there will be no social gatherings or a coffee hour. 

** Please check the church calendar for the schedule of services and/or subscribe to the text notification service. 

GENERAL PROCEDURES​​

  • Bring your own headscarf [women], corporal—if you have one, hand sanitizer, and water bottle.

  • The wearing of a face mask is required at all times for anyone 3-year-old and older. This is any time you are on the church premises and during the Liturgy, Vespers, Midnight Praises, Sunday School, or any meeting.

  • Sanitize your hands always and please silence your cell phone.

DIVINE LITURGY PROCEDURES​​

  • Arrive by 9:00 a.m. and honor the Lord's Day. The Divine Liturgy begins at 8:30 a.m. on Sundays.

  • Families of the same household and married couple sit together. Else, you sit according to the Church Tradition.

  • Parents with active toddlers, please use the Cry Room.

  • The last row of pews on both sides is reserved for parents with small children.

  • Avoid movement during the Divine Liturgy and stepping outside of the church.

  • If the church nave fills up, additional seating is available in the Fellowship Hall.

COMMUNION PROCEDURES

  • Approaching to receive Holy Communion starts from the back pew to the front.

  • Bring your own water bottle.

  • Please do not use paper towels, napkins, or tissues as a corporal ('lefafa'). 

DEPARTURE PROCEDURES

  • The ologia (non-sanctified korban) will be distributed at the back door on Sundays. Please do not crowd the back of the church nave.

  • Please do not congregate in the Fellowship Hall but depart after you receive the ologia.

  • You can drop your weekly offering in the respective donation box in the back of the church. You may also give through online giving.
