Christ is risen! Truly He is risen!
Period: Tuesday and Thursday from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. for four weeks, starting on June 22 and ending on July 15.
Age Group: The camp will serve children and teens in 1st grade through 8th grade.
Program:
The students will learn about "Defenders of the Faith". Besides learning about the key figures (saints) who defended the Faith, the students will learn about the Ecumenical Councils, the Nicene Creed, the incarnation of our Lord Jesus Christ and the Holy Theotokos, and Icons.
The lessons will cater to different audiences: elementary school-age versus middle school age.
In addition, we will cover the materials of St. Mark's Festival.
We will have indoor and outdoor activities. Parents will be informed when outdoor events are planned to prepare their children with the appropriate change of clothes.
Meals: Summer Camp will offer lunch, mid-day snacks, and juice. We will be observing the Fast of the Apostles during most of the summer camp. Fish, seafood, and vegan food will be offered. If your child(ren) has any food allergies, please indicate so in the form.
Cost: Summer Camp is funded by St. Mary & St. George. The church will cover the cost of lunch, snacks, drinks, materials, and supplies necessary for the camp's events. We do encourage all the parents to support this ministry and consider making a donation toward the camp's expenses.
